This is the Royal Opera House (which is situated in Covent Garden in London). The building stands in a different world, the world of the theatre, on an imaginary shore made of silk. The red book leaning against the building refers to Palladio's Four Books on Architecture (1570) which have played a major role in the development of European architecture.
