Every artist has a different approach to work and career. Some artists see each of their paintings as an absolute statement in its own right; others regard their work as a step-by-step process of exploration and discovery. Bouchard's paintings fall into the latter category.
The aim, over the years, has been to create a body of work which reflects the inner, silent realities of daily life. It follows in a long tradition of art which taps into the subconscious and is part of the world of imagination and dreams.
