ST. PANCRAS: 1990 - 107cm x 160cm

This is a painting of Sir George Gilbert Scott's St Pancras Station, London, relocated to a classical landscape (which, in itself, is inspired by the paintings of Claude Lorrain.) Claude (1600-1680) was one of the great landscape painters of the Seventeenth Century and was hugely admired by Turner.
